HEY JOE

Dear President Biden, please get over your pride and pass the infrastructure 2.2 trillion dollar bill.

The retrumplicans and the few Republicans aren’t going to play your game.

So please just get with the program, the one you outlined when you got elected. That’s what we want.

Honestly, we care more about taking advantage of this brief opportunity to to “build back better” a strong democracy of which the people of the United States of America can be proud.

You’re the only one that can bring this country back together and it’s not by playing footsy with the people trying to destroy it.

GET TOUGH, STAND TALL, and LEAD.

ONE VOTER ONE VOTE

Let ’em know, HR1 is the way to go!

BUT, WHAT ABOUT THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE?

The Electoral College has never been anything but a convenience for the minority.

It’s unfair and undemocratic. There is no place for the Electoral College in a democratic republic. Democracy beckons the abolishment of the Electoral College!

Come on Congress, open eyes, try to get to work more than 193 days this year, and rid American voters of the ridiculous burden of the Electoral College.

And while your at it.

MAKE THE FILIBUSTER MAKE SENSE!

TYRONE’S TAKE

With time slipping by so fast, I urge people to not get comfortable with the results of the recent election.
Before we know it, the campaigns ramp up again. As it stands, President Biden can get some stuff done. He can foster important legislation. But senate races on the horizon threaten to obliterate optimism…..and halt progress
There are many issues to take up-like infrastructure, human rights and justice for all. But let’s not forget climate change. The science is solid and the president has already put us back in the movement to make the necessary changes
We could go back if we don’t launch heated conversations now. Make folks realize how a few thousand votes could put us all out of business in a heartbeat

Tyrone’s Take

In Chicago, I like the Wrigley building-even though he leaned to the right. I like the Tribune tower even though the newspaper leans right. I like the Hancock building unaware of John’s politics.
Every time I look North from Clark and Lake…..and see the Trump building with it’s big sign, it’s like getting kicked in the stomach
I don’t know if a campaign to remove it would succeed, but I would jump on board if enough folks felt as I do.
